Postman

Import GOWA’s OpenAPI specification into Postman or Insomnia.

GOWA ships an OpenAPI 3 spec rather than a Postman collection. Import it to get every endpoint as a ready-made request.

1. In Postman, choose Import → Link and paste:
   https://raw.githubusercontent.com/aldinokemal/go-whatsapp-web-multidevice/main/docs/openapi.yaml
   
2. Open the generated collection’s Authorization tab, choose Basic Auth, and enter your APP_BASIC_AUTH username and password. Requests set to Inherit auth from parent use it.
3. Set the baseUrl collection variable to your server, e.g. http://localhost:3000.
4. Add an X-Device-Id header (or a collection-level pre-request header) with your device ID.

Insomnia, Bruno and Hoppscotch import the same file.

The dashboard bundled with GOWA (served at /) is another quick way to try endpoints interactively.
