# Postman

> Import GOWA's OpenAPI specification into Postman or Insomnia.

GOWA ships an OpenAPI 3 spec rather than a Postman collection. Import it to get every endpoint as a ready-made request.

1. In Postman, choose **Import → Link** and paste:
   ```text theme={null}
   https://raw.githubusercontent.com/aldinokemal/go-whatsapp-web-multidevice/main/docs/openapi.yaml
   ```
2. Open the generated collection's **Authorization** tab, choose **Basic Auth**, and enter your `APP_BASIC_AUTH` username and password. Requests set to **Inherit auth from parent** use it.
3. Set the `baseUrl` collection variable to your server, e.g. `http://localhost:3000`.
4. Add an `X-Device-Id` header (or a collection-level pre-request header) with your device ID.

Insomnia, Bruno and Hoppscotch import the same file.

The dashboard bundled with GOWA (served at `/`) is another quick way to try endpoints interactively.
